tuesday pains

i didnt go for dance today bcos i hav very bad gastric pains..plus the weather is so cold today such that i feel the chills all the way to my bones. hmm does tt sound right? haha.

anyway reunion dinner with my grandma was really enjoyable despite the gastric pain. we had sharks fin & lobster =) unfortunately the pain didnt go away after dinner so i decided to cancel my dance class and head home..
gosh when i got home the pain got so much worse till i didnt feel like doin anything but cling onto a hot drink.
so right now im taking ginger water. sounds gross but honestly im really desperate.
no amt of crackers or food can dispel the pain =( sigh

gosh im just so lazy to blog abt life here in hk! i shall make this short & sweet k?
basically in hk..

Top 3 things that must always be in your bag
1. antiseptic wet wipes
2. hand sanitizer
3. facial tissues ( to cover ur nose from filthy dust and smoke!)

NEVER!!....

carry an expensive bag you dont wanna dirty
carry a big shoulder bag (unless u wanna get bumped & shoved)
wear new expensive shoes
take the train during peak hours
walk barefooted in the house
buy anything from the side street stalls (esp ladies street) w/o bargaining
eat those internal organs thingy ( omg gross they even hav pig's blood!)

lean against any wall seat...anything!

here's my 1st submission for the feb wk1 sketchy project for simplyscrapping~!

ive been feeling unwell the last two days.. broke my voice and i sound like a BOY. gosh haha i caught my mum's flu i think. well thk God im feeling so much better this morn!

yts during treatment i intended to sleep for one & a half hours bcos my throat was so bad & i dont like my broken voice LOL but in the end i had a very gd chat with charlene! it was so fun talking to her abt SUSHI and our childish nature of keeping our barbie dolls & soft toys.

at 6.30 i was feeling so tired bcos i didnt slp..was SO TEMPTED to go home to rest BUT im so glad i DIDNT listen to the little devil in my head..&i went for the one eighty young adult's fellowship at the vine =)
met lotsa new friends and a group of FELLOW s'poreans all of us proud of our LAH LEH LO s'porean accent haha. i enjoyed the whole service and God touched my heart.

even tho i reached home at 11 and was feeling so broken-voiced( no sound even when i tried to speak)..i was HAPPY and at peace bcos i know how much God loves me...and yet again he has ANSWERED another of my prayer-----. for a church and gd friends =)

*GASP* AHH I CANT BREATHE! this is incredible!
even tho it's midnight and my mum's nagging at me to slp..i MUST blog this~!
ive been praying and talking to the Lord abt my wish to design for any scrapbooking website.. so when simplyscrapping started a DT search on mon...i decided to work on the challenge sketch for the DT position.

i just completed the Layout for the challenge 2 hrs ago..and i was abt to submit it when..guess wad?
i dont need to anymore! simplyscrapping sent me an invitation! omg i cldnt believe it i felt lik refreshing the mail page to make sure im not dreaming XD

but really i feel so happy now not only bcos it's such a great honour to receive this invitation..but mostly it is bcos i see God's work in this.
God is so real and personal and he really hears my prayers!

even when i had a rough emo morning and cried out to him. He talked to me thru my devotions and told me that Jesus will be my healer. there is NOTHING that can take away his love from me NOTHING to limit his power to heal

i feel really ashamed for the little faith i hav ..for doubting that he's listening to my prayers.
lik sometimes i wonder if God even cares abt the tiny teeny worries and desires i have. well the fact is he REALLY truely is there listening to me.
everyday he is revealing more of himself to me. all i need to do is to be willing to overcome my disbelief and learn to trust in him.

oh btw, my eyes are feeling much better. the optometrist said it's 78% healed lol.
erm do pray for my mum who's stilll recovering from flu and cough..she's coughing so much till my heart aches!

anyway i must say, i miss singapore i miss my family my bed my teddy bears =( almost broke down today ...HK can get SO CONFUSING!

i took 2 wrong buses this afternoon and a wrong tram late at night after ballet class. omg im such a loser

This is just a simple card i made for qchao's 21st bday. it's a pity i cant make it for his party sigh i guess im missing out on so much fun back at s'pore. well i simply adore those new CUTE PUFFY animal stickers.

this is another simple notebook for aunt jeanny..haha i was so excited to find fabric puffy flowers in a HK supermart!
there's a folder behind the front cover =)

just a quick update on life here ..well there's just so much to share. it's been a rollercoaster ride. this wkend im taking a break from dancing. mum forbid me to go for any dance classes this wkend.

honestly im quite frustrated tt ive deproved in my techniques so much..i guess i need patience to build back the strength.

guess wad. i scratched my right eye cornea yts..it hurt so much when i wore contact lens ..had to take them off in the middle of ballet class.

then i got so freaked out when i realized i lost a clear vision for my right eye. couldnt see despite having specs on. so i went for an eye checkup and found out that the cornea is swollen.

today it feels less painful but i really must be careful in future! it's a scary episode sia

this morn i had devotion and it was about procrastination and how tomorrow may nvr come..
there're jus so many stuff i hav been procrastinating to do..and one of these is definitely telling my mum how much i appreciate all tt she has done..initially i wanted to write a letter but since i bought NEW PUNCHES yts, i thot it wld be better to play around with them and make CARDS haha. so i decided to make one that opens up in front too..
i wont show u the mushy stuff DUH haha but i hope u like the cover! im not very experienced at making cards..
AH but the paper punches are irresistable! i even bought a teddy bear one =)

hello evryone! it's my 3rd day of stay in HK. the weather is good mostly 16-18 degrees =)

life's pretty good with so much good food at every corner of the street!

i had sushi buffet at 9.30pm with my mum for only an insane sum of 8 DOLLARS! they even gav raw sashimi sushi and sharks fin soup XD

the ppl there eat alot for supper and they work till really late.

haha i was itchy handed this morn and decided to scrapp even tho there was alot of space constraint XD my grandma's house has no proper table you see .

oh well but i hope my sis will love this layout! thks for the LOVE LETTER dear.

later i will be going over to my aunt's place for the best homemade food! i hope my teeth wont hurt so much by then.

after the bling class, i tried creating another vintage layout for my mum...used a piece of vintage transparency and layered a few k&Co patterned papers =) i like the metal key embellishment!

this is one of the layouts we did in DS-global class...the photos are my 2nd tour with grandma to perth in 1996 when i was jus a little girl =) very memorable

here we used paint and strips of vallum and blue patterned paper to create the wave =)

this layout is so peranakan!

sorry i hav been REALLY lazy in updating my blog. just wanna share with you some of my teddy bear craze =)

these 3 are birthday gifts. i hav alot of sentimental feelings for the huge russ bear bcos it is from my close friends in 2 Hyper..i miss rv!

my aunt bought this from the teddy bear museum in Korea..

Guff and bowie..my sasha bears!

these are the 3 beloved raggety posh design bears bought from a talented designer called Trish ...she handmakes all thier pretty vintage dresses and accessories i cant imagine how much work she has to put in for each bear! her bears can only be found all the way up the hills in Gold coast Maleny hills. seriously made my day when i found those bears!

the purple bear is called patricia..she's also bought from montville in Gold coast I begged my parents to let me take her home! i was in the store for so long XD Josie is the pretty country bear on the right...it was really sweet of my sister who bought this for me in secret 2 years ago when we were shopping in Orlando..the both of us entered this teddy bear storeand she saw that i really loved Josie..

i was so surprised and happy to receive it for chirstmas!

this is my mum's fav out of the whole collection =) we bought this from a designer in Gold coast 3 years ago ..when we went back this year..we couldnt find her =(

bad girls challenge4# dolls

here's my take for badgirls52 paper dolls challenge =)

i call it special doll of faith..picking the theme of 'joy'

the third photo shows the back of the altered project.. it says"wad is essential is invisible-faith"

a simple little faith in God brings great joy
i hope the receiver of this altered tin will remind her of how she can always live joyfully as God's child

altered a twinings metal tin and made it a musical tin!

my sis bought the cute musical box device for me when we were in aus bcos i jus couldnt keep my eyes off the musical device in the shop!

the music only starts playing when you wind it =) and

when it does so...i have this unexplanable child-like joy!

its like being thrilled bcos you can see the mechanisms working too its really cool!

basically i mounted the metal musical device on thick sponges the sponge also supports the paper doll in front.

then i used k&co diecuts to surround it. the flower pot! haha hooked it over the musical tuner

here's how the lid looks like..
the pretty flower is taken from one of my fav hairpins that i used to wear so very often when i was a little girl.

*ahems* ahah ok i admit im still a little girl XD

for the front wordings, i traced out the chipboard shape on k&co patterned papers afterwhich i pasted one of my fav bible verses..

then i had fun with the prima pearls and tiny roses from daiso.

guess where i found the paper doll??

my korean personal diary! its one of those diaries tt's TOO PRETTY to be used haha so i never really dared to scribble anything on it yet.

i added crystals on her umbrella too.

for the base, i wrapped a cardboard with shimmery wrapper followed by another layer of lace to give that soft 'country-style' feel

well i hope you guys love this paper doll as much as i d0
